Darul Ridzuan Museum
< back to index
Located at Jalan Panglima Bukit Gantang Wahab, Ipoh, the Darul Rudzuan museum is quite a beautiful structure with an equally facinating history. It was built more than a century ago and has been the abode to the Malay Chieftains of Kinta and even to the British Rulers.
It was turned into a museum and was officially opened to the public in 1992. Some interesting articles and artifacts to be found inside include the history and development of Ipoh City and the mining and forestry industry of Perak State.
The museums opening hours are from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm daily with the exception of Thursday in which it is opens for a half-day and Friday in which the museum is closed. Admission is free.
